Come paint with the artist in a criticism-free, perfectionism-free, exploratory, abstract workshop.

No art skills needed!

Workshop Prices Include: Gallery wrapped canvas, professional grade paints, tools to paint, all additional supplies to paint, and once your painting is dry I treat it with a gloss varnish. Snacks, as well as a variety of flavored sparkling waters, are also provided.

You must wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on! We’re going to play with paint and it will get everywhere. Artplay is not responsible for stains to clothing so dress accordingly!

AT THE WORKSHOP

I start by talking about how I became an artist when I didn’t think I was one. While using the back of your canvas, I provide a tutorial on some techniques that you can incorporate into your own painting. Then you’ll turn your canvas over to the front, cover the entire front and sides with a base coat of your favorite color, and play with color on your canvas! You will have access to standard paint as well as fluid acrylic medium mixed paints that you can pour.

There is no rush and you can paint for up to 3 hours. Once you feel content with your painting, you will get to leave it with me so it doesn’t make a mess in your car and it can dry without getting ruined. I will put a gloss varnish on the dried painting for you to bring back the shine of the colors and to protect it from damage, then I’ll contact you to let you know it’s ready for pick-up!
